Spooner Industries Ltd, a long-established supplier of provers, ovens and coolers to the food manufacturing and baking industries based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, is currently experiencing an exceptional time of investment and progress. Spooner Industries has recently moved into a new purpose-built factory and office building and has invested in both new machinery and a new business system to improve the company further. The new facilities include 4,500m2 of manufacturing space, state-of-the art test and research and development facilities, and modern engineering/design office and visitors’ areas. Spooner is currently working with a number of key players within the food industry on both new equipment orders and service work. The company’s newly formed technical services division offers a range of services including plant condition inspections, process audits, refurbishment projects and technical training. New equipment currently offered for the food industry includes provers, ovens, coolers and process controls. The company’s experienced and newly strengthened team can work with customers from the concept and design stage, through manufacture, installation and commissioning to after-sales service. Spooner Industries recently shipped a 64-metre long oven to an American company and is working on orders for delivery around the world.
