Finnish material handlings supplier Nekos Oy has moved into Russia, providing a new automated crate handling system to boost efficiency at a major Moscow bakery chain. The Fazer-owned Zvezdny bakery in Moscow now has the system in full operation following its installation last year. The new handling system for plastic crates was installed as an all-inclusive package comprising both hardware and software. Experts from Nekos stayed on site to supervise mechanical and electrical installation works over the summer of 2007 and to test-run the mechanisms and train the staff before the system started up in the autumn...
